Smoking will damage your health .

The storm ruined the crops.
He ruined his prospects by carelessness.
My new dress is ruined [spoiled].
This unpleasant man with his endless complaints ruined [spoiled] my journey.
They demand [ require ] my appearance.
The policeman demanded his name and addres.
We require warm clothing for the winter.
The letter demands [requires] an immediate answer.
The court requires the attendance of witnesses.
He demands [requires] that we (should) leave at once.
2) demand
She demanded to see the manager.
He demanded to be told everything.
The machine requires repairing [to be repaired].
They required him to keep it a secret.
All the members are required to attend the meeting.
They demanded of her to go with them.
4)表示“向某人要求某物”,可用 demand sth of [from]sb。如:
He demanded an apology from the boss.
What do you require of me?
I have done everything that was required of me.
(1)enough adj.

The evidence was sufficient to convince me of his guilt.
There have been enough investigations, but
we are still in want of sufficient investigation.
