早岁那知世事艰，中原北望气如山。

楼船夜雪瓜洲渡，铁马秋风大散关。

塞上长城空自许，镜中衰鬓已先斑。

出师一表真名世，千载谁堪伯仲间。

陆游（1125—1210），字务观，号放翁，越州山阴（今浙江绍兴）人，南宋文学家、史学家、爱国诗人。有手定《剑南诗稿》85卷，收诗9000余首。

LU You (1125-1210), styled Viewer, Heroic by literary name, a native of Shanyin, Yuezhou (present-day Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province). He was a litterateur, historian and patriotic poet in the Southern Song dynasty. Lu compiled 85-volume Jian Nan Poetry Manuscripts with over 9,000 poems.（陈赛花译）

In my prime years I knew not worldly pain;

As I gaze north, my pride o’errides Mid-plain.

Tower ships moor at Gourd Shoal in night snow;

Iron steeds break thru San Pass in autumn blow.

The Great Wall stands in the frontier in vain;

The mirror shows white does now my hair stain.

The Premier’s war pledge won him a great name;

For thousands of years who can have such fame?
