接下来我们一起来学习一下跟“符号”相关的英文表达吧~

①bracket 括号

bracket是所有括号的总称，波形括号是curly bracket，方括号是square bracket。

parenthesis也可以表示括号，但它通常被用来表示圆括号。

所以，左括号是open parenthesis，右括号是close parenthesis。

比如

Well, the bracket notation means you can index into this variable.

好的，这个括号的意思是你可以，索引这个变量。

So for example, tags like or must have a closing bracket as shown in Listing 8, taken from the above JSP.

②colon 冒号

colon是冒号，semicolon是分号。

③exclamation 感叹号

④hyphen 连字号

比如

Is there a hyphen between the two words?

这两个词之间有连字符吗？

"Long run" (without a hyphen) is a noun. "Long-run" (with a hyphen) is an adjective.

“Long run”(没有连字符)是个名词，“Long - run”(有连字符)是个形容词。

⑤dash 破折号

比如

If a section has a dash or special character in it, the word is probably too long.

如果某部分中有一个破折号或者一个特殊的字符，那这个词就有可能太长。

The name cannot end with a dash.

名称不能以连字符结尾。
