绘本难度不断升级，我们还是分为上、中、下三篇来读，今天即为上篇。

Mr and Mrs Zachary were building a new house.

I want a house with a big lounge. I need a lounge to relax in with my swinging chair, my books, my exercycle, and my drums.

So Mr Zachary drew a plan to show Mrs Zachary.

Description

The house is shaped like a large M. It is made from yellow bricks. Inside, the house has six rooms. The lounge is the biggest room. It has a swinging chair in one corner and in the middle of the room there is a platform for drums. The platform hangs from the ceiling by chains. There is a ladder for getting up and down. The inside walls are green and yellow.

Mrs Zachary looked at Mr Zachary's plan, but she didn't like it.

The lounge is not the most important room in a house. The bathroom is. I want a huge bathroom with a bath the size of a swimming pool. I want a slide and a diving board. I want a soaping machine and a drying cupboard.

So Mrs Zachary drew a plan to show Mr Zachary.

<The Zacharys' Plans> 扎克瑞家的计划

Zachary夫妇要建造一栋新房子，两个人各有想法，于是开始根据自己的想法做计划，画房屋结构图，有外观图、内部构造图，清晰的标注及描述。

不过，看过Zachary先生和Zachary太太各自画的图之后，不难发现，他俩的意见好像不太统一。

Zachary先生希望能有一栋拥有6个房间的、M型外观的黄砖房，其中客厅（lounge）应该是6个房间中最大的，能够放置书架、电脑桌、摇椅、健身用的脚踏车，客厅上方还有用铁链固定、用梯子链接起来的一个平台，用来放置架子鼓。（不得不说，草图画得还是很好的。）6个房间分别是：厨房1间、餐厅1间、客厅2间（楼上1间，楼下1间）、浴室1间、卧室1间。

Zachary太太认为浴室才是一栋房子的灵魂，而且要非常大，像游泳池那么大，还要有滑梯、跳板、打泡泡机、风干机。。。为了将所有这些都装进新房子里，Zachary太太设计了一个长方形（oblong）的石头房，里面共有10个房间，分别是：餐厅1间、厨房1间、客厅1间、温泉房1间、卧室2间、浴室2间（大浴室1间，游泳池带温泉、滑梯、跳板；小浴室1间，为Zachary先生专用）、风干室1间、打泡泡室1间。

如果你有机会自己建造一栋房子，你会希望自己的房子有几个房间呢？都是做什么用的？你可以自己动手画个图纸么？或是先按照现在的家画一张建构图练练手，标注一下哪里是卧室、哪里是客厅、哪里是厨房、哪里是浴室。
