Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, is a key transport hub and a rapidly developing city in the center of China with several unique advantages. First, the national government is undertaking several strategic programs in Henan that provide opportunities for Zhengzhou. Second, Zhengzhou is a transportation crossroad that allows access to China's interior. Third, it has a solid industrial foundation, a rich history and culture, and strong human resources.

On July 16^th, Zhengzhou, China, and Lahore, Pakistan, became sister cities. Hou Hong, Mayor of Zhengzhou, and Moin ul Haque, Pakistani Ambassador to China signed a letter of intent to promote friendly exchanges between the two cities.

Lahore is the second largest city of Pakistan and is its cultural and artistic center. An ancient city with a history stretching back more than 2000 years, it was once the capital of the Mughal Empire. In 630, Xuanzang, an influential Buddhist monk of the Tang Dynasty (618-907), visited Lahore. His work represents the earliest written record of the city.

拉合尔，是巴基斯坦第二大城市，巴基斯坦文化和艺术中心，是座2000多年历史的古城，曾是莫卧儿帝国首都。公元630年，中国唐代高僧玄奘曾到此访问，留下来关于拉合尔最早的记录。

Lahore consists of an old city area flanked on the southeast by newer commercial, industrial, and residential areas. The old city area was surrounded by a 7-meter-high red masonry wall and a moat, and accessed through one of its 14 gates.

It lies on the west bank of the Ravi River in northeastern Pakistan, near the Indian border.

Lahore has many scenic spots and historical sites. The Lahore Fort is a Mughal imperial citadel built from marble and has 21 elaborately decorated monuments. The Shalimar Garden and the Badshahi Mosque are both examples of the splendid Mughal culture. The architecture of Lahore reflects the different historical periods of the city.

拉合尔名胜古迹众多。用大理石建造的莫卧儿王朝故宫拉合尔城堡有21座建筑，装饰繁缛考究。夏利玛花园、巴德夏希清真寺都是莫卧儿王朝灿烂文化的遗迹。拉合尔城的建设充分反映着这座城市的历史变迁。

In recent years, more and more enterprises from Henan have been investing in Pakistan. To celebrate the 70^thanniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan, the Foreign Affairs Office of Henan Provincial Committee of the CPC and the Embassy of Pakistan in China planned a light show that kicked off on the evening of May^{23 rd}this year at the Zhengzhou Olympic Sports Center.

近年来，到巴基斯坦投资兴业的河南企业越来越多。为庆祝中巴建交70周年，由河南省委外办与巴基斯坦驻华大使馆精心策划的中巴建交70周年主题灯光秀于2021年5月23日晚在郑州奥体中心点亮。

On July 15^th, the China (Henan Province) - Pakistan (Balochistan Province) Practical Cooperation and Exchange Conference was held in Zhengzhou. Major leaders of Henan Province and Baluchistan Province signed a letter of intent establishing friendly inter-provincial relations.

7月15日，中国（河南省）—巴基斯坦（俾路支省）务实合作交流会在郑州举行。会上，河南省与俾路支省主要领导签署了建立友好省际关系意向书。
