今天我们就来学习两组意思比较相近的短语，

首先看一下:

*on time = according to a schedule or a deadline 准时，按期

e.g If I don't finish my work on time, my boss will be very angry.

今天要是不按时完成工作的话，老板一定会对我很生气，或者是：

My train is never on time.

我的火车从来都没有准点过，实在是很让人生气

*in time = not too late to be successful　及时，赶得上

e.g. I missed my deadline but i still got the presentation finished in time for the meeting.

虽然错过了(提交的）最后期限，但我仍然赶在开会前完成了演讲文稿。

My train was late but it still arrived in time for me to get to the office before 9.

火车虽然晚点了却仍然准时到达，让我能赶在9点之前回到办公室。

It's good to be on time, it's even more important to be in time!
