不及物动词 助词 介词结构构成的动词词组是不及物的,即该动词词组不带直接宾语。介词后面跟着的代词词组或代词是介词的宾语,不是动词词组的宾语。

看下例:

  1. come up against someone/something, 词组中“someone”“something”是介词“against”的宾语;
  2. put up with someone/something, 词组中“someone”“something”是介词“with”的宾语;
  • come up against someone/something: be confronted with someone/something

(突然地要)面对不愿看到的某人;

遇到某事

•put up with someone/something:

tolerate someone/something

容忍某人某事

此类动词词组还有:

  1. get down to something: tackle something; start serious work on something 处理某事;开始认真地做某事

Learning English idioms isn't so difficult, once you get down to it. 一旦认真地学,英语成语不难掌握。

  1. go in for something: be very interested in a hobby or sport 热衷于某种爱好或运动;对某种爱好或运动很感兴趣

David goes in for collecting antique weapons. He has hundreds.

大伟喜欢收藏古兵器,他已收藏了数百件。

  1. look up to someone: admire and respect someone 崇拜某人

Tony has always look up to his uncle, who is a very successful actor.

托尼一直很崇拜他的伯伯,因为他伯伯是个非常成功的明星。
