一、单词记忆

我们先讲一个词根，sist，表示“站立”的意思，我们说什么正站在某个地方，我们可以用is standing来表示，我们要把is standing写成词根，后面的standing太长，我们就取前面两个字母st，和is放在一起就是isst，但是这样写很不好读，所以我们把字母i和字母s调换一下位置，就变成了sist，表示“站立”。

我们今天这个单词，consist，前面的con表示“共同，一起”，后面的sist，“站立”，这个单词最常见的短语就是consist of……，是由……站在一起构成的。

二、单词用法

1.consist of……：由……构成的

The house consists of six rooms.

=The house is composed of six rooms.

= The house is made up of six rooms.

这房子由六个房间组成。
