1、只修饰单数可数名词的限定词

这类词有中位限定词a/an,each,every,either,neither ;前位限定词what a 和后位限定词many a, one等

2、只修饰复数可数名词的限定词

这类词有前位限定词both;后位限定词two,three…,(a )few, fewer, (the) fewest, many,several,these,those;前位或后位限定词a good/great many(of), a (good/great/small) number (of) 等

3、可与单、复数可数名词及不可数名词连用的限定词

这类词有中位限定词the,my,your,some,any,no,what(ever),which(ever),whose,whosever,名词所有格；前位限定词all,half,double,twice,three times,one-third,two-thirds,such和后位限定词additional,further,past,other,such等

4、只与单数和复数可数名词连用的后位限定词

这类词有first,second,third…,last,next,(a) certain等

注：①这类词与复数可数名词连用时，其后的名词中心词前常带基数词或few,如

another three minutes , last few days

②这类后位限定词可以与前位限定词all或中位限定词my,your等搭配，如

our last hope, his last days

5、只能与不可数名词连用的后位(或前位)限定词

这类词有(a) bit of, a good deal of, a great deal of, a great amount of,(great/large) amounts of, much (of),(a) little (of)

注：①(large/great) amounts of后跟不可数名词作主语时，句中谓语动词常用复数形式 Large amounts of money were spent on the bridge. 修这座桥花了很多钱。

②a bit,a little,a good/great deal,a lot可以用作副词，修饰形容词、限定词或动词。这时上述短语不能与of连用

I am a bit tired. 我有点累。

Please wait a bit. 请稍等。

I am a little afraid of you. 我有点怕你。

③有时这类词可用作名词，作主语或宾语

Many a little makes a mickle. 积少成多
