状语从句要注意的问题（状语从句总结五）

请记住，让步状语从句的作用是强调，没有任何让步。

表示虽然…但是…，即使…也…，纵使…还是…等句意的句子，在英语里被定义为让步状语从句。例如：

He is so arrogant that he will not apologize even if he offends you. 他是如此傲慢，即使他冒犯了你，他也不会道歉。

让步状语从句表达的是即使有从句内容的阻碍，主语也仍然要做主句内容的事。

Even if/even though

even if表示尽管可能出现某状况，even though表示已经出现了某状况

• I will not give up even if I fail this time. 即使以后可能失败，我也不会放弃。

• I will not give up even though I failed last time. 即使上次失败了，我也不会放弃。
