3.be动词的一般疑问句

Are they from China? 他们是来自中国吗？

1)be动词的一般疑问句的结构为＂Be (Am, Is, Are)＋主语＋其他? ＂

将be动词提到句首，am, is或are的首字母要大写，原来的首字母改成小写（人名、地名等专有名词除外）；句号改成问号。 在朗读一般疑问句时，要用升调。其简略答语用降调。

⑴be动词变一般疑问句时，如果主语是第一人称I或We时，要把I或We变成第二人称you，I /We变为 you, be动词用are。即通常将I am…或We are…变成Are you…?

►—I am a teacher. 我是一名老师。

—Are you a teacher? 你是一名老师吗?

►—We are Chinese. 我们是中国人。

—Are you Chinese? 你们是中国人吗?

⑵肯定句中的形容词性物主代词my或our，变一般疑问句时要改为your。

►—This is my book. 这是我的书。

—Is this your book? 这是你的书吗？

⑶第二人称和第三人称一般不发生改变。

►—He is a student. 他是一个学生。

—Is he a student. 他是一个学生吗？

2) be动词的一般疑问句的回答方式

be动词一般疑问句分别用Yes或No作肯定或否定回答，Yes或No的后面一定要有逗号，逗号后所加的主语不能大写，除了I（我）例外。

肯定回答：Yes, 主语（人称代词主格）＋be (am, is, are).。（其中主语和be动词不能缩写在一起）

否定回答：No, 主语＋be (am, is, are)not.。（其中be动词和not必须缩写在一起，但am与not不可缩写，此时应写为I'm not.）

►—Are you twelve? 你十二岁吗?  

—Yes, I am.是的,我是。 —No, I'm not.不,我不是。  

注意：不可以写成“Yes, I'm.” 或“No, I amn’t.”。 

►—Are they good friends? 他们是好朋友吗?

—Yes, they are. 是的，他们是。

—No, they aren’t. 不，他们不是。

►—Is this your pencil? 这是你的铅笔吗?

—Yes， it is. / No， it isn't. 是的，是我的。/ 不，不是我的。

⑴主语如果是名字、人或物时，在回答的句子中，要换成相应的代词。

①主语是单数女性，用she代替

►—Is Mary a nurse? 玛丽是一名护士吗?

—Yes, she is. 是的，她是。

—No, she isn't. 不，她不是。(答语中的she不能用Mary)。

►—Is your mother a doctor?

—Yes, she is. —No, she isn't.

②主语是单数男性，用he代替

►—Is Mike a student? 迈克是一位学生吗?

—Yes, he is. 是的，他是。

—No, he isn't.不，他不是。(答语中的he不能用Mike)。

►—Is your father a doctor? 你父亲是一名医生吗？

—Yes, he is. 是的，他是。 — No, he isn’t. 不，他不是。

③主语是单数事物，回答时要用it代替

►—Is your book on the desk? 你的书在桌子上吗?

—Yes, it is. 是的，它在。 —No, it isn’t. 不，它不在。

your book是第三人称单数，回答时要代换为it。

④主语是复数的人或物，回答时要用they代替

►—Are the boys from America? 男孩子们来自美国吗？

—Yes, they are. —No, they aren’t.

►—Are these books Jack’s? 这些书是杰克的吗？

—Yes, they are. —No, they aren’t.

⑤问句用you, 回答改用I 或we，I永远用大写。

►—Are you Jack? Yes, I am. No, I’m not.

►—Are you Chinese? Yes, we are. No, we aren’t.

⑥Is this/that…? 结构的一般疑问句的答语要用Yes, it is. 或No, it isn't.。

►—Is that your ruler? 那是你的尺子吗?

—Yes, it is. / No, it isn't. 是的，它是。/不，它不是。 ⑦Are these/those…? 结构的一般疑问句的答语要用Yes, they are. 或No , they aren't.。

►—Are those his dictionaries? 那些是他的词典吗？

—Yes, they are. / No, they aren't. 是的，它们是。/不，它们不是。

►—There is a book on the desk. 在桌上有一本书。

—Is there a book on the desk? 在桌上有一本书吗?

肯定回答:Yes, there is. 是的,这里有。

否定回答: No, there isn't. 不,这里没有。

⑧有些一般疑问句也可用其他形式来回答。

►—Is that Gina's book？ 那是吉娜的书吗？

—Sorry， I don’t know. 对不起，我不知道。
