考点一、lend 的用法

1. lend 及物动词 意为"借给，借出"，过去式和过去分词都是lent。lend 是短暂性动词，不能和表示一段时间的状语连用，也不能用how long 提问。

2. lend sb . sth.= lend sth. to sb. 意为"把某物借给某人"，但sth.为人称代词时，不能用lend sb. sth.结构，lend me it 这个结构是错的。

Would you lend me your ruler?

你能借给我你的直尺吗？

I'd like to lend him my bike.

我想借给他我的自行车。

He lent his bike to me yesterday.

昨天他把他的自行车借给我。

I'm sorry I can't lend so much money to you.

考点二、 lend / borrow / keep 用法辨析

1. lend "借给，借出"，相对于主语来讲，物品往外借。

2. borrow 及物动词，意为"借，借用"，相对于主语来讲，物品是借入。

和lend一样，borrow 也是一个短暂性动词。

borrow sth. from sb. /sw. 意为"从某人某处借"。

Can I borrow your bike?

我可以借你的自行车吗？

I borrowed an interesting storybook from the library.

我从图书馆借了一本有趣的故事书。

3. keep 及物动词，过去式和过去分词都是kept, 本意为"保存、保留"，引申为"借用"。用于表示借用的时间长度，可以和表示一段时间的状语连用，可以用how long对借用的时间长度提问。

How long can I keep this book?

这本书我可以借多长时间？

You can keep this book for two weeks.

这本书你可以借2个星期。

I have kept this book since last week.

从上周我就借了这本书。
