英语名词的否定（英语中的部分否定）

部分否定是英语中常见的句法知识，其重要性不言而喻。

not all（或者all....not）连用构成部分否定：

not all（或者all……not）连用构成部分否定，意思是“并非都……”“不是所有的都……”。

例句1：Not all efforts can get payback. (All efforts can not get payback.)

不是所有的付出都有回报。

注释：这句话的完全否定是No efforts can get payback.(所有付出都得不到回报)。

例句2：Not all man are suitable for this job. (All man are not suitable for this job.)

不是所有人都适合这份工作。

注释：这句话的完全否定是Nobody is suitable for this job.或者说Anyone is not suitable for this job.(没有人适合这份工作)。

not both（或者both ...not）连用构成部分否定：

not both（或者both not）连用构成部分否定，意思是“并非两个都……”。

例句1：Not both of us like popular misic.(Both of us don't like popular music.)

并非我们两个人都喜欢流行音乐。

注释：这句话的完全否定是Neither of us like popular music.(我们都不喜欢流行音乐)。

例句2：I don't like both of the stories.

并非这两个故事我都喜欢。

注释：这句话的完全否定是 I like neither of the stories.(这两个故事我一个都不喜欢)。

not every（或者every ...not）连用构成的部分否定：

not every（或者every not）连用构成部分否定，意思是“不是每……都……”。

例句1：Not every book is educative for youth.(Every book is not educative for the youth.)

不是每本书对年轻人都有教育意义。

注释：这句话的完全否定是No book is educative for the youth.(所有书对年轻人都没有教育意义)。

例句2：Not everyone is interested in this game.(Everyone is not interested in this game.)

不是每个人都对这个游戏感兴趣。

注释：这句话的完全否定是Nobody is interested in this game.(所有人对这个游戏都不感兴趣)。

not与always、all the time连用构成部分否定：

not与always、all the time连用构成部分否定，意思是“并非总是(并非一直)……”。

例句1：Life is not always so tough.

生活并非总是这样艰难。

例句2：He won't tolerate your fault all the time.

他并非会一直这样包容你的过失。

注释：这两个句子在变成完全否定时用never。比如例句2可以写成：He will never tolerate your fault.(他从来都不会包容你的过错)。

not和and连用构成的部分否定：

not和and连用构成部分否定，否定的是and后面的部分。

例句1：The students can not recite and uderstand this passage.

学生们能够背诵这篇文章但是不能理解。

例句2：Most classic old movies are not intructive and attractive.

很多经典的老电影很有教育意义，但是不够吸引人。

注释：如果要将上面两句话改成前后两者都否定，只用把and换成or就可以了。
