新概念英语第二册第1课语法笔记版（新概念英语第二册教学实践与经验总结）

《新概念英语》教材一共4册，在学习完第一册英语初阶（First Things First）之后，就可以进入第二册的实践与进步（Practice & Progress ）学习了。

如果说第一册是打基础的话，那么第二册学习就已经进行开始大量的阅读理解和听力理解，在积累词汇，完善语法的基础上，有目的地进行句子训练，而训练的方法是先模仿，再“创造”！

要知道：英语是一种用来交流的语言工具，而不是什么深奥的“知识”。我们学习英语就应该从一开始重视“听说”或“听力理解”，强调“英语听说”在学习中的“引领作用”！

当然，除了“英语听说”之外，英语的基本技能还有阅读与写作，这些同样需要我们Practice, Only practice more, can we make more progress (只有经过大量的训练，我们才有可能取得进步）。

我在给学员教学《新感念英语》的过程中，严格遵循被实践也已证明是最佳的课堂教学法：听过的再说，说过的再读，读过的再写！

Nothing should be spoken before it has been heard.

Nothing should be read before it has been spoken.

Nothing should be written before it has been read.

这就道出了学习英语的顺序：，听 说 读 写

Lesson 9, Book 2, New Concept English

1、英语听说 （听录音，跟读课文）

A cold welcome

On Wednesday evening, we went to the Town Hall. It was the last day of the year, and a large of crowd of people had gathered under the Town Hall clock. It would strike twelve in twenty minutes’time. Fifteen minutes passed and then, at five to twelve , the clock stopped. The big minute hand did not move. “We waited and waited, but nothing happened. Suddenly, someone shouted, “it’s two minutes past twelve! The clock has stopped! I looked at my watch. It was true. The big clock refused to welcome to the New Year. At that moment, everybody began to laugh and sing.

2、阅读理解（记句子，重视应用）

● The crowd gathered under the clock because they wanted to welcome the New Year.

● They realized the clock had stopped after midnight.

● Please gather round. 聚焦在周围

● The tour guide gathered the visitors in the lobby of the hotel.

● I will be back in five minutes.

● I’II be with you in a moment. 我马上过来。

● The river passes through the city. 穿城而过。

● He walked past the building.

● hand in hand. 手挽手

● hour hand 时针

● Politely he refused my request.

● Everything is fine.

● There is something I want to tell you .

● Nothing has changed. （情况）照旧。

● Is there anything I can do for you ? 需要帮忙吗？

● He did not say anything=He said nothing.

● He has gone abroad and he will return in two years’ time.

● He ran a hundred meters in thirteen seconds.

● I can’t say him at the moment, and I’m busy.

● We arrived at the village at night, and we left early in the morning.

3、句型结构（学语法，练习写作）

● They went to the Town Hall on Wednesday evening. They went in the evening.

● The people were under the Town Hall clock.

● When will it strike? In twenty minutes’s time.

● What time did it stop? At five to twelve.

● Did anything happened? No, nothing happened.

● We went to the Town Hall on the New Year’s Eve to welcome it. .

● There are a large crowd of people gathering under the Town Hall Tower.

● The Town Hall clock would strike twelve in five minutes’time.

● The Town Hall clock stopped and refused to welcome the new year.

● The crowds of people began to laugh and sing at midnight.

4、英语词汇（学生词，善于应用）

● Welcome vt. 欢迎;adj. 受欢迎的; n.欢迎int.; 欢迎(客人来访或新成员的加入)

用作及物动词 (vt.)

I don't welcome intrusions into my privacy.我不希望有人干扰我的私生活。

When I came into the office, the principal rose to welcome me.

当我走进办公室时,校长 起身欢迎我。

用作形容词 (adj.)

You are always welcome to our house.欢迎你随时到我们家。

用作名词 (n.)

Her suggestion received a rather unenthusiastic welcome.她的建议受到冷遇。

用作感叹词 (int.)

Welcome to China!欢迎到中国来！

We had to push our way through the crowd. 我们得从人群中挤过去。

From across the fields came cheers of the crowd. 从田野的那一边传来群众的欢呼声。

A large crowd was waiting at the bus stop. 一大群人在公共汽车站等候。

A crowd gathered at the scene of the fire. 许多人聚集在火灾现场。

That's just what you get from hanging out with the wrong crowd. 交错了朋友就是这样的下场。

They had managed to crowd into a train. 他们勉强挤上了一列火车。

Everyone in the restaurant crowded around them and started singing.

餐厅里的所有人都挤在他们周围,开始放声高歌。

The room was crowded with guests. 房间里挤满了客人。

Hundreds of people crowded the street. 大街上挤满了几百个人。

Images of the accident kept crowding my mind. 那场事故的情景不断在我脑海里涌现。

A bevy of reporters crowded toward the candidate. 一群记者涌向候选人。

He crowded the debtor for payment. 他催逼负债人还债。

Speakng and Listening should be give top-priority

Clouds gather before a thunderstorm.在风暴来临之前云层聚集。

People began to gather outside the palace.人们开始聚集在宫殿前。

We'll gather at the school gate at eight tomorrow.我们明天八点在校门口集合。

He took the trouble to gather the materials for me.他不辞辛劳地为我收集资料。

I gather everyone has passed the exam.我推测人人都通过考试了。

● Hand n. 手；协助；手艺v.给；传Hand.; n.汉德（英文姓）

用作名词 (n.)

It was written by hand. 这是手写的。

He has a book in one hand, and a pen in the other. 他一手拿书,一手拿笔。

Do you want a hand? 你需要帮忙吗？

He's always willing to give a hand to anyone who asks. 任何人有求于他,他总是乐于帮助。

He has a light hand with pastry. 他很会做糕点。

用作动词 (v.)

Please hand me that book. 请把那本书递给我。

She helped to hand round the dishes. 她帮忙把菜传给大家。

Most of my clothes were handed down to me by my older brother. 我的衣服大多是我哥哥传给我的。

● Shout v. 呼喊；高声呼叫; n. 呼喊；大声叫

用作动词 (v.)

He opened his mouth to shout, but no sound came out. 他张开嘴呼喊,但是没有发出声音。

He didn't shout, he just glared at me silently. 他没有喊叫，只是默默地怒视着我。

The children on the sand were shouting with excitement. 沙滩上的孩子们兴奋得大喊大叫。

The crowd shouted the speaker down. 群众高声喊叫把演讲人的声音压了下去。

用作名词 (n.)

Her warning shout came too late. 她发出的警告呼喊声来得太晚了。

His news was greeted with shouts of joy. 大家都对他的消息报以欢呼。

They heard him give a loud shout of astonishment. 他们听见他惊奇地大叫一声。

5、英语写作（改课文，创新创作）

A large crowds of people went to the Town Hall on the New Year’s Eve to welcome the near year. However the clock under the Town Hall stopped to move at 11:55, so it seemed that it would refuse to welcome to the New Year. But that had nothing with the crowds of the people,They were laughing, singing and dance to cerebrate the New Year

根据摘要写作（P44-45）提成的问题，把答案组成一个段落，结果就变成了对课文内容进行创新改写，从而逐步形成自己的写作习惯！

6、补充资料（Clock to refuse the near year, 大钟拒绝迎接新年）

The title “A cold welcome” here has two meanings :First it refers to the cold weather in Winter, and secondly refers to the clock under the Town Hall , which was broken at five to twelve to refused to welcome the near year.

However, the large crowds of people gathered at the Town Hall were still happy to cerebrate the new year with laughing ，singing and dancing.

冰冷的欢迎！ 这个题目有两个意思：第一，冬天的夜晚天气寒冷；第二，市政厅的大钟在11：55的时候不走了，拒绝欢迎新年的到来。

然而，聚集在市政厅大钟下面的人们并没有因为大钟坏了而影响他们迎接新年的欢乐心情，他们载歌载舞，有笑有唱！

谨记：英语是一种用来交流的语言工具，需要反复训练已达到脱口而出的目的， 而非是一种深奥的“知识”。衡量是否掌握一门语言，最终要看他运用如何，而不是他懂了多少“知识”！

正如《新概念英语》第二册教学目的：Practice & Progress (实践与进步)。只有通过不断的实践训练，才有可能学习进步，灵活运用这门语言！
