哀长沙

黄 迂

长沙一炬最堪哀，风鹤仓皇误寇来。

焦土忍教轻纵火，坚城痛绝陡成灰。

独留青史不磨玷，自是苍生无妄灾。

半壁河山犹一掷，纷纷食肉尽庸才。

黄迂（1874-1947），原名式苏，字仲荃，号迂叟，浙江乐清人。曾加入光复会、同盟会。入民国，任浙江遂安及福建泰宁、宁德县知事。有《慎江草堂诗钞》。

HUANGYu (1874-1947), formerly known as Shisu, styled Zhongquan, Impractical Old Man by literary name, born in Yueqing, Zhejiang Province. He once joined the Restoration Society and the Chinese Revolutionary League. After the founding of the Republic of China in 1912, he served as a magistrate of Sui’an, Zhejiang Province; and of Taining and Ningde Counties, Fujian Province. The poet authoredA

Alas,Long Sand!

So sad, the fire sways to destroy Long Sand;

Invaders come, cranes and grass and all rash.

Soil scorched, the awful arson who can stand?

Just a while, the strong walls collapse to ash.

Stain-free, with glory they have carved their name;

The folks suffer all kinds of bane and pain.

Half the land they throw off, a die of game;

Those in power are but those who fat remain.
