云南大学（云大，Yunnan University），创建于1922年，坐落于云南省昆明市，是“世界一流大学”“211工程”建设高校。该校入选“一省一校”“中西部高校基础能力建设工程”“111计划”“卓越法律人才教育培养计划”“卓越工程师教育培养计划”、全国创新创业典型经验高校，为国家“一省一校”国家重点建设大学（Z14）联盟成员、南亚东南亚大学联盟牵头单位。

云南大学前身是1922年成立的私立东陆大学，1930年，改为省立东陆大学，1934年9月，改称省立云南大学，1938年，改为国立云南大学，1950年定名云南大学。1981年11月26日，经国务院批准，云南大学成为全国首批博士、硕士学位授予单位。

On November 26, 1981, with the approval of the State Council, Yunnan University became one of the first batch of institutions granting doctoral and master degrees in China.
