莫把英语阅读当做作英译汉的中文阅读：Maradona dead

英语阅读就是“英语阅读”，不要把英语阅读变成“中文阅读”：翻译成中文“才能懂”。英语阅读是把英语“翻译”成(我们已知的)英语“就能懂”：阅读英语就是使用英语。

这不仅是一个“理念”，更是一个基于此理念的“实践”：英语阅读是给你机会把(已知)英语用起来的，不是给你把中文“用起来”的。

一、马拉多纳遗体告别仪式开始，大批民众现场吊唁，向遗体告别：

二、我们需要有把英语pay your respects to“读成”下面英语的能力

1.Okay.I got you.If you pay your last respects to someone who has just died, you show your respect or affection for them by coming to see their body or their grave.

这是第一种英语“使用”能力：coming to see their body or their grave.

2.Okay.I got you.If you pay your last respects to a dead person,you go to his or her funeral,you attend his or het funeral.

读到英语pay your last respects to a dead person时，你“说不出”(已知的)英语go to or atrend his funeral并用它们代替中文“吊唁”，这样的“英语阅读”算是哪门子“英语阅读”呢？这不是“赤裸裸”的“中文阅读”吗？
