nine单词趣味记忆（由词根omni-派生出的常用单词omnipresent）

英语单词不用背，我们先来看看 由词根 omni-派生出来的一系列单词： omniprent、omnipotent、omniscient、omnivor 以及 carnivor、herbivore、devour!

单词是学习英语的基石，但是“背单词”是很多英语学习者最头疼的事情，英文单词背了忘，忘了背，翻来覆去效果还不好！实际上，就像我们汉字有“偏旁部首”一样，英语也有类似的“词根词缀”，掌握了英语构词规律，英语单词记忆就轻松多了！

1、【omnipresent】, omni 全部，到处 prent 存在= 无处不在的

The sound of sirens was an omnipesent background noise in New York.

omnipresent=omni present

在纽约，警报声是无处不在的背景噪音。

2、【omnipotent】, omni 全部，到处 potent 有力的=全能的

omnipotent God, 万能的神！

同义词： almighty, adj. 全能的；有无限权力的，有强大力量的；<非正式>巨大的，极度的；（表示惊奇或愤怒）上帝呀; ...

omni potent omnipotent

almighty god，万能的上帝；全能真神；全能的神（等于 God Amighty）

almighty dollar， 万能的美元；almightiness n. 全能； almightily adv.全能地，无所不能地；

3、【amniscient】, omni 全部，到处 scent 知道的 = 无所不知的

God is not only omniscient, but also omnipresent, 神是无所不知，无处不在。

omniscient narrator 第三人称叙述；omniscient and omnipotent 全智全能；

omniscient analysis 全知分析 ；omnisciently rational system 全知全能合理系统

4、【omnivore】, omni 全部，到处 vore (eat) 吃 =杂食动物/人

An omnivore eats both plants and animals. 杂食动物既吃植物，也吃动物。

omnivorous adj. 杂食的；什么都读的；无所不吃的

omnivores n. 杂食者（omnivore 的复数）

5、【devour】, de 去掉 vour (eat) 吃=吞食

She devoured half an apple. 她吞食了半个苹果。

devoured v. 吞食；毁灭（devour 的过去分词）
