2.2know about和learn about的区别

know about了解......的情况；

learn about学习.....的情况

①know about侧重于指间接了解某人或某物，其程度要小于know。

②learn about强调付出了劳动才能知道，一般与知识、技能、经验之类相关。

2.3holiday名词，假日;假期;节日(尤指宗教节日或国家庆典日);节日假期。

3I'm Lily.我叫莉莉。

My family has lived in Canada for six years.我们一人家住在加拿大已经六年了。

3.1现在完成时用法之一：表示过去已经开始，持续到现在的动作或状态，因此其肯定句的谓语动词必须用延续性动词，此时常与“for 一段时间”或“since 过去时间点或从句(从句用一般过去时)”以及“so far(到目前为止)”等时间状语连用。

I've lived here since 2007.

自从2007年以来我就住在这里。

I haven't seen him for three years.我三年没有看见他了。

Mr Wang has worked in the factory since he came to the city.自从到这个城市以来，王先生一直在这家工厂工作。

9.1once的用法

①〔副词〕曾经，常与一般过去时连用。

My father once told me the story.

我爸爸曾给我讲过这个故事。

②〔副词〕仅一次;一次表示次数。

I visit my grandparents once a month.我每月看望一次我的祖父母。

③[连词〕一旦;—……就

Once you start, you should never give up.一旦开始,你应该永远不放弃。

9.2southern形容词，南部的;来自南方的。

south（南方） -ern→southern(南方的)

north(北方) -ern →northern(北方的)

east(东方) -ern →eastern(东方的)

west(南方) -ern →western(南方的)

15.1I think so.中so的用法：

结构为：主语＋表示看法、意见等动词＋so。在此句型中,so只用于避免重复前面所说过的内容,等于代替肯定的名词性从句.可与believe,imagine,do,

expect,fear,guess,hope,say,speak,

suppose,think等动词及I”m afraid连用.

Is he going to study abroad?

他打算去留学吗?

I believe so.（＝I believe （that）he is going to study abroad.）我想是的.

15.2此时要注意：think so,believe so,expect so,等变为否定形式有两种方法：

①可以用动词的否定结构.如：I don”t believe（suppose,think …）so等；

②也可用not代替so,但be afraid so,fear so,hope so等变为否定形式只能用not代替so.

如：I hope not,I fear not,I”m afraid not.要注意此用法不能和表示确信、疑问的词连用.

22.1Beijing与 Peking

①peking采用的是邮政式拼音（即威妥玛式拼音法），beijing采用的是汉语拼音。

②peking是北京旧时的英语表，beijing是现今的常用表示，如今多数用beijing代替peking。

除了一些特殊的地名和品牌名，大多数中国人、事、地的英译都要根据汉语拼音，而不能再用邮政式拼音了。所以，北京的英文名应该是Beijing，而非Peking。
