The new campus of Hangzhou International School (HIS) will welcome all students this coming semester. Let’s have a peek!

杭州国际学校白马湖校区位于杭州市滨江区白马湖生态创意城湘滨路2190号，东、北至规划支路，西至湖西路，南至映翠路，项目用地面积约75亩。

Located at No. 2190, Xiangbin Road, White Horse Lake Ecological Creative City in Binjiang, Hangzhou, the White Horse Lake campus project of Hangzhou International School covers a construction land area of 75 mu (about 12 acres) with a planned branch road in its east and north, Huxi Road in the west and Yingcui Road in the south.

杭州国际学校正式成立于2004年7月，是国家教育部在杭州批准设立的第一批外籍人员子女学校。

Formally established in July 2004, Hangzhou International School is the earliest school in Hangzhou approved by the Ministry of Education to admit children of foreign expats.

据杭州国际学校相关负责人表示，计划8月31号新学期开学后，全校师生将在新学校办公上学。

According to the Director of Community Relations at Hangzhou International School (HIS), all teachers and students will start the school year on the new campus this August 31.

学校采用的是全学段国际IB课程。招收学段为幼儿园（2岁）起至十二年级。

HIS is authorized to deliver the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Primary Years Programme (PYP) to their students from Early Years to Grade 12.

据介绍，学校课程设置分学段引入PYP\MYP\IBDP的国际IB课程，是目前浙江省屈指可数的全学段IB学校。学校注重综合性教学，除对学术、社交、情感和道德的教育之外，更强调帮助儿童发展成为对他们所处的这个世界有责任感的、有信心的贡献者。

As the only Non-Profit, Internationally Accredited (WASC), IB Continuum school in Zhejiang Province, Hangzhou International School is authorized to deliver the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Primary Years Programme (PYP). Due to the comprehensive teaching, in addition to academic, social, emotional, and moral education, HIS places greater emphasis on helping children develop into responsible and confident contributors to the world in which they live.

目前，所有教室及图书馆、体育馆、餐厅、咖啡吧等配套设置均已装修完毕，静待开学。

Classrooms, libraries, gymnasiums, cafeterias, coffee shops, common spaces, and other facilities are now ready for the start of the new semester.

学校特别重视汉语和中华文化的弘扬，希望每个在校学习的孩子都能够更好地了解杭州及各地方的文化，既自身受益，同时又能做个世界文化的传播者，发挥文化桥梁的作用。学校从托儿所阶段就开始每天安排中文课程，直至高中。

HIS greatly values Mandarin and Chinese culture and provides a tremendous opportunity for all learners to explore the culture of Hangzhou and other parts of China and become a bridge between different cultures. HIS provides Mandarin classes every day at different levels from Nursery to High School, to develop literacy and appreciation of the host country's culture.

每年的春节、端午节、中秋节等传统节日，学校会举办很多活动，希望通过这种形式，让学生更加了解中华传统文化。

HIS will continue offering different activities during Spring Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Days, and other traditional Chinese festivals and celebrations throughout the year. The goal is to continue exposing the students and the whole community to Chinese traditional culture.

说到活动，学校的大剧院值得一提，剧院采用挑高的形式，从3楼延伸至5楼，可容纳近1000名人员同时观看演出。

Speaking of activities, the new theater of HIS is worth mentioning. With a high ceiling, the theater extends from the 3rd floor to the 5th floor and can accommodate nearly 1000 people to watch the wonderful students’ performances at the same time.

据悉，该项目从2019年8月8日正式开工，按照原计划，于今年8月底投入使用。

This project was launched on August 08, 2019, and the campus will be open to host the school year 2022-2023 this late August.
