askfor有没有询问的意思（askfor是要求）

今天给大家分享下跟moon，月亮有关的几个习语。

ask for有“请求，要求；寻找”的意思。但为什么ask for the moon却是“异想天开，想入非非，痴人说梦”的意思呢？

1) ask for the moon

女儿想要一个奥迪车，然后爸爸说，“什么？！你真想把天上的月亮摘下来啊”。“You are asking for the moon”，你真想把天上的月亮摘下来啊，潜台词是这怎么可能，简直是痴人说梦。词义延伸，ask for the moon 有异想天开，想入非非，痴人说梦的意思。

reach for 是“伸手去拿”，reach for the moon那是什么意思？

reach for the moon 字面是“伸手去触碰月亮”，想一想就知道有多不容易。延展下来，它是指“尝试完成一些特别困难的事情”。

3）over the moon

over the moon 除了字面意思，”月亮之上“，还可以有”兴高采烈，欣喜若狂“的意思。

② The whole team were over the moon at winning the game.

全队都为赢得这场比赛欣喜若狂。

4）full moon 满月

full有”满的，充满的“意思，这个比较好理解。

① Families generally gathered together to admire the bright full moon and eat pomelos and moon cakes which are an inherent part of creating the right festival mood traditionally.

家人通常聚在一起欣赏明亮的满月，吃柚子和月饼，这是传统上创造正确节日气氛的固有部分。

admire the bright full moon是”赏月“的意思。

5）lunar calendar 农历

lunar有“月亮的，阴历的”意思。lunar calendar，农历是按月亮的阴晴圆缺这些月相周期来安排的历法，所以我们的农历叫lunar calendar。

① The mid-autumn festival is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar when the moon is at its roundest and brightest。

中秋节在农历八月十五日庆祝，此时的月亮是最圆最亮的。
