还以为是要上演

后来一看字幕才明白

尽管这句话是用“where”提问的

但它所问的

和地点完全无关

而是一句地道的习惯性问句

“我刚刚讲到哪儿了?”

(Now)where was I?

What was I talking about? Where did I leave off? (Said after an interruption of some sort.)

我刚才在说什么?我说到哪里了?(因为某些情况被打断后会说的话)

就比如Sex Education Season 2 Episode 6中，妈妈在给女儿读书，拿起书来记不起来上次读到哪里了，于是说道：

The word were rhymes with sir and fur.

It’s the same sound as in the word bird.

The word we’re is short for “we are.”

we’re是we are的缩写形式

You can pronounce it with an eer sound as in beer and fear:
