赫拉克勒斯是个什么神（魔鬼还是天使他是达明）

看在上帝之爱的份上，你接下来又要干嘛了？这是达明·赫斯特的妈妈对他说的话，由此可见他的叛逆非同一般。

这句话甚至给了他创作的灵感，让他创作出惊世骇俗的“献给上帝的爱”。

有人说，英国没有他，就没有现在的国际当代艺术地位。他是当代艺术世界的标杆，同时也是当今世界最富有的艺术家。

艺术天才还是商业巨贾？对他的争论从未停止过。

圆点、骷髅、蝴蝶、泡在福尔马林溶液中的动物尸体……这些不断出现在他作品中的相关元素无一不在展示着他的旷世才华。但与历史上所有富有争议的大艺术家不一样的是，他仍在世，今年50岁，正是创作好年华。

他的另类雕塑《献给上帝的爱》价值1亿美元，是世界上最贵的艺术品。对他最富有的在世艺术家称号，没有人会否认。

那是一个用价值约800万-1000万英镑的8500颗钻石装饰的一个骷髅头，经分析确认，所用的头颅属于一名大约35岁的欧洲人，生活在18或19世纪初。这件作品中最名贵的当属一枚摆在前额、重约50克拉的钻石。这件白金钻石骷髅头作品名为《给上帝的爱》，赫斯特曾表示：“我只想借诅咒死亡来赞美生命，有什么方法比采用奢华、欲望和堕落的象征更能遮盖死亡？”2007年8月30日，这颗钻石骷髅头创造出1亿美元成交价，并创下在世艺术家作品售价最高纪录。（见下图）

然而，他会在意指责与批评吗？有人说他疯了，有人说他让艺术走向低俗，有人说他让时代倒退。也有人说，创造美丽标本具有美感的体验。

他的艺术直指人类的本质问题——生与死。

对于生物生命的有限性，他十分感兴趣。他最著名的“自然历史”系列作品由动物尸体组成，部分作品还经过切割，保存在甲醛容器中。该系列的标志性作品《生者对死者无动于衷》，是一条用甲醛保存在玻璃柜中的5米长虎鲨。“迷途的羔羊”[Away From the Flock，1994]也是其中之一，是一只泡在这种液体里的羔羊。在作品“女孩，喜欢男孩，喜欢男孩，喜欢女孩，就像女孩，喜欢男孩”[Girls, Who Like Boys, Who Like Boys, Who Like Girls, Like Girls, Like Boys，2006]里，画的表层装饰满了非常漂亮的彩蝶，不过也有让人忧虑的剃须刀。赫斯特在此提醒观众的是生命的短暂。虽说蝴蝶让画的表层变得非常漂亮，但是剃须刀让人联想到的是“镜中花月”的画面，它提醒我们危险的存在和物质的美的非永久性。

艺术家简介;

达明·赫斯特（Damien Hirst ）生于1965年6月7日布里斯托，从小在英格兰北部的利兹长大。1983-85年，在利兹Jacob Kramer艺术学院学习，1986-89年，就读于伦敦哥德史密斯学院。1994年，他获得柏林德国学术交流中心国际艺术家项目的提名，1995年获特纳奖。如今，赫斯特在英国格洛斯特郡生活和工作。是新一代英国艺术家的主要代表人物之一。他主导了90年代的英国艺术发展并享有很高的国际声誉。赫斯特在1986年9月就读于伦敦大学金匠学院。1995年获得英国当代艺术大奖特纳奖。
