高考英语短语简短（高考英语干货from时间词语）

from 时间词语—可同现在完成时一起使用。

看下例句，再推断出些不那么自以为是的结论。

《英汉多功能学习词典》第623页from词条2用法（1）

表示从过去某时一直到现在（或过去某时）时，通常用since:

He has been sick since last Sunday. 他自上个星期日以来一直在生病。

（不过，可以说：I have known him from a child [childhood]. 我从孩提时代就认识他。）

而from则单纯表示时间的起点。

《英语语法大全》（伦道夫∙夸克等著）第349页5.138

情景的起始时间也可用介词‘from’加副词 ‘on’或‘onwards’表示。名词词组可以是日期、事件或时间段。动词可用简单过去时或完成时。

From the eighteenth century on, great private palaces went up.

Butfrom the mid-1960s onwards the rate of public welfare spending has tended to accelerate.

from和since都表示某个动作、事件或情况的开始时间：即说明它们是什么时候开始。

I’ve been waiting since six o’clock. 我从6点钟起一直在等着。

I’ve been working since six o’clock, and I’m getting tired.

我从6点钟起就一直等着，现在感到累了。

from有时候也可以和现在完成时连用，尤其是用在表示“从一开始就……”的表达方式时。

She’s been like that from her childhood. （或…since her childhood.）

她从童年时代起就是那样。

From/Since the moment they were married, they’ve quarreled.

他们从结婚的那一刻起就一直吵架。

From/Since the dawn of civilization, people have made war.

从有人类文明以来，人们就进行战争。

钱歌川著《英文疑难详解》第203页~第204页

……，用：“from 普通名词” 或“since 抽象名词”，正是惯用的说法，

所以上例（I have known him from a child.）是不能把from改为since的，仍然要说：

I have known him from a child. 不过也不是绝对的，如果要用since的话，就说：

I have known him since his childhood. 意思还是一样。

介词from是表时间的起点的，除上举的from a child外，

还可说from a boy, from olden times及from (one’s) childhood等等，

这些表现都是和现在完成时同用，但用过去时态也未尝不可，例如：

They have been friends from（或since）childhood.

（他们从幼时起就成为朋友了。）

They have loved each other from their childhood.

（他们从幼时起就相爱了。）

From a boy he was fond of study. （从幼时起他就好学。）

He was studious from his childhood.

（他自髫龄即好学。）【髫（音“条”）龄（髫龄即童年）】

From olden times men have been making use of fire.

（从古昔开始人们就一直在用火。）

《英语常用词疑难用法手册》陈用仪编著第662页since与from词条

since与from 两个介词都是表示“从何时起”，有时可以互用。【例如】

She’s been like that from/since her childhood. 她自小时候起就是这样子。

From/Since the moment they were married, they’ve quarrelled.

他们自从结婚时就一直吵架。

但是since使用时，一定要是到了后来的某个时间点就站住，从这个后来的时间点向since那个开始的时间点回顾。

from则只是简单地交代一个时间点，后来并不站住回顾，而是“义无反顾”地走下去。

【例如】

I’ll be here from (不用since) three o’clock onwards.

我从三点钟起就会在这里（没有将来某时间点对三点钟的回顾）。

I work from（不用since）nine to five.

我九点到五点上班。（虽然有五点，但不是对九点的回顾）

“From (不用Since) today, I believe there’s a God,” she said.

她说：“从今天起我相信有上帝了。”（没有从后来时间点的回顾）

since要求谓语动词必须是现在或过去完成时（有例外），from则没有限制。

【例如】

From that day on, Trudy became a regular part of Francie’s life.

(Michael Christopher Mahan, An Internal Affair, p.49)

从那一天起，特鲁迪就成了弗兰西生活中的一部分。

此改错正确句式为：From then on, we’ve kept in touch with each other through e-mails。

从上述罗列可知：尽管不很常见，但还是可以看到from 时间短语与现在完成时一起使用的具体实例【本人是实证派，空谈无益，证据说话】。

但——建议看到此题目内容的中高考学生还是遵循since常常与现在完成时搭配使用更好一些，毕竟学生们还是要参加标准化的英语测试的。
