How can you not root for the Nets after all they've been through and still being such a solid team this season? Some may have thought they would just tank since it's their first season with their pick but clearly they've shown they're much better than that. Hope they make the playoffs, they absolutely deserve it. Their young core is one of the best in the league, and they've drafted really well with the limited picks they did have.

Sean Marks did a great job of taking advantage of teams who made bad signings in the summer of 16’ to acquire picks and young players along with those bad contracts. He basically capitalized on other GM’s stupidity.

That combined with player development. Lakers don’t seem to have the right priorities when it comes to the young guys. I don’t think d’lo is anywhere as good as he is now if he was still with them.

Absolutely. D'Lo grew a lot with the Nets and looks like an absolute stud now, but just the drafting as a whole has been so solid with the Nets. They've been identifying some key skills in players that perhaps other teams don't rate as highly but their picks have turned into some really nice pieces.

Allen with the 22nd pick, trading Thad for Caris LeVert (picked 20th), and the trade for RHJ at 23rd pick were all really good deals! Late first rounders converted into some really talented players. Then, picking up pieces like Joe Allen and giving them a chance to prove themselves. Honestly, so impressed and happy for Brooklyn's turnaround after that horrific Celtics deal. Really rooting for the Nets to put it all together and hopefully LeVert comes back stronger than ever.

But for Marks to take over a barren wasteland and have the team/coach combo over three years is incredible all things considered.

The pelicans starting 5 is very talented. Their bench is just atrocious but a solid enough roster overall. People act like AD is only surrounded by g leaguers

I'm actually glad that trade happened. If it never happened, we wouldn't have Sean and Kenny, and could very well just be a very poorly run organization with lottery picks

They have a good FO who have been great at finding gems like Jarrett Allen, Levert and Joe Harris.

Will be interesting how much they pay their guys though since most of them are still in their rookie deals. Dinwiddie just signed a 3 year 33 mill contract. They'll probably want D Angelo back as he's getting better every year it seems but for how much?

Knicks are in a good position too though. A top 5 (hopefully top3!) pick this coming draft, along with KP returning and guys like Knox and Robinson and Frank improving will round out our team really really well. Hopefully we bring back Vonleh, Mudiay and Korner which I think we will for all 3 on decent deals. Though depending on the pick (if we get Ja Morant) we could afford to lose Mudiay.
