biggest和largest最高级的区别（Largeamountof和large）

大家好！这里又是学院派的咔咔来啦，今天我们要学一个大大的区别（手动打call）。

Amount of和number of都指数量，到底有什么不同？比如说，large amount of和large number of都表示“数量大”，有啥区别呢？

那今天我们就好好来捯饬一下这两个词组吧，其实区别还真是挺明显的呢。

amount of表示数量，但是经常用于搭配不可数名词。

英语例句：

① You can get a large amount of information on the internet.

你可以在互联网上获得大量的信息。

② - Are you stressed?

- not really, I just have a very small amount of stress.

- 你有压力吗？

- 其实没啥，我压力真的很小。

* 上面的stress压力，information信息，都是非常常见的不可数名词。

你也可以说an amount of time/money/confidence，来表达这些不可数名词的数量；

还可以这么搭配，large/vast/enormous amount of表示大数量，用small amount of表示小数量。

那反观number of，也是表示数量，但它搭配的是可数名词复数。

英语例句：

① A large number of people have signed up for the course.

很多人都报名参加了这个课程。

* 注意哟，people是天生的复数，虽然它后面没有加s/es，但是不能否定人家先天自带复数特征哟。

② A small number of employees want to leave the company.

有小部分职员想离开这个公司。

a. A computer can store ____ of information. （电脑可以储存很多信息）

b. If you don’t have a certain ____ of confidence, you won’t succeed. （如果你没有一定的自信，你是无法成功的）

c. I can see ____ of cars on the road. （我在路上看到了很多的车）

答案是不是清晰可见：

a. a large amount of information.

b. a certain amount of confidence.

c. a large number of cars
