lots of和a lot of哪个表示程度（lotsof和heapsof）

1. lots of=a lot of许多，大量，可以接不可数名词，也可以接可数名词复数，多见于口语且常用；其句子的动词应用单数或复数形式，则看名词而定：

A lot of/Lots of money was lost.损失了很多钱。

A lot of/Lots of people were wounded.很多人受了伤。

A lot of time has been wasted.有许多时间给浪费掉了。

A lot of people have been present.已有许多人到了。

There is lots of time to spare.时间绰绰有余。(lots of=much)

His boss has a lot of trust in him. 他的老板对他非常信任。

2. heaps of=a heap of,是大量的，许多的，（意思是一大堆那么多）较正式，其句子的动词应用单数或复数形式，则看名词而定；修饰可数复数和不可数名词。常常含有“偶然、杂乱”之意，不完全和lots of通用。不可以说：heaps of people。因为人怎么能堆起来呢？

如：

heaps of books(time);许多数（时间）

a heap of bricks一堆砖
