《要是你带小老鼠去上学》讲述了要是你带一只小老鼠去上学，他会想要你的饭盒。当你给他你的饭盒时，他会想要在里面装个三明治。随后他会跟你要几根铅笔和一个笔记本。他很可能还想跟你用一个背包……

lf you take a mouse to school,

要是你带小老鼠去上学，

he'll ask you for your lunchbox,.

他会问你要个午餐盒。

When you give him your lunchbox, he'll want a sandwich——

当你给了他午餐盒，他还会要块三明治，

and a snack for later.

和课后吃的零食，

Then he'll need a notebook and some pencils.

然后他还需要一个本子和一些铅笔。

He'll probably want to share your backpack, too.

很可能，他还要借用一下你的背包。

When you get to school. he'll put his things in your locker and take a look around.

一到学校，他就把他的东西放进你的储物柜，

He might do a little math, and spell a word or two.

He'll even try a science experiment!

Then he'll need to wash up.

You'll have to take him to the bathroom.

Once he's nice and clean,

he'll be ready for his lunch.

他就准备吃午饭了，

On the way to the lunchroom, he'll see some building blocks.

在去食堂的路上，他准会看见一些积木。

He'll build a little mouse house

他就搭起一间老鼠之家。

and make some furniture out of clay.

他还用黏土做了几件家具。

Then he'll need some books for his bookshelf.

他忽然发现书架上需要摆几本书，

He'll start by writing one of his own, so he'll need a lot of paper.

他就自己创作一本书，于是他要了许多纸。

He'll probably use up all your pencils.

他可能会把你所有的铅笔都用光哦！

When he's finished,he'll want to read his book to you.

书刚一写完，他就想读给你听。

Then he'll want to take it home.

他还要把书带回家，

So he'll put it in your lunchbox, and tuck it in a safe place.

因此，他先把书放进午餐盒里。再把午餐盒塞到可靠的地方。

When the bell rings, he'll run out to wait for the bus.

下课铃一响，他就冲出去等校车。

While he's waiting, he'll play a quick game of soccer.

当他等车的时候，他会抓紧时间玩一会儿足球。

Then he'll ask you to shoot s few baskets,

然后他又让你跟他投几下篮球，

and do a little skateboarding.

还要玩儿两下滑板。

When he stops to catch his breath, he'll want to eat his snack.

等他停下来歇口气儿的时候，他会想吃点儿零食。

So he'll ask you for your....

所以他会问你要那个......

lunchbox.

And chances are,

午餐盒。之后八九不离十，

lf he asks you your lunchbox, you'll have to take him

要是他问你要你的午餐盒，你就得带他

back to school.

回学校去。
