1Have you ever received an interesting gift?你曾经收到过一件有趣的礼物吗？

1.1accept和receive都有“接受”的意思。在表示“受到教育”和“接待客人”等意时只能用receive,不能用accept; 而在表示“接受某条件”时却只能用accept,而不能用receive。

具体区别如下:

①基本词义不同。receive的基本意思是“收到”，而accept是“接受”。

②性质不同。receive表示客观的，accept表示主观的。

③感情色彩不同。receive表达的情绪比较中立;accept具有明显的主观色彩，不仅客观上“接”，而且更主要的是主观上的“受”。

④引申词义不同。receive引申为“接纳，接待，遭受，作出反应”等，accept引申为“承认，同意，认可，相信”等。

⑤词性不同。receive可用作及物动词，也可用作不及物动词;accept主要用作及物动词。例如，表达接收礼物的时候，“receive a gift”时，只是收到了礼物，可能还会退回;而“accept a gift”，表示接受了礼物，不会再退回。

7.1fit①动词，适合，合身，表示适合时，主要指尺寸、大小、形状等方面的适合。通常的表达是sth. fits sb.。

②形容词，与系动词连用，表示“适合的，恰当的”等，常与for连用。

He isn’t fit for his work. 他不适合做这项工作。

你是怎么知道我的尺码的？

③invite sb. for sth.因为某事邀请某人

16.1It be time for sth。是该做什么事的时候了。等同于It be time for doing sth.或者It be time to do sth.。

16.2turn off关掉（电灯、水、煤气等）

反义词turn on 打开（电灯、水、煤气等）

turn up调高（音量等）

turn down调低（音量等）

注:以上四个短语，都属于动词 副词结构。

19.2blow-blew-blown动词，吹。blow out吹灭。属动词 副词结构。

19.3immediately副词，立刻，马上=at once。
